Provo Politics

I don't normally pay attention to local politics because I consider it to be a waste of time and energy. It takes quite a bit of effort for me to get worked up over anything at a state level. That being said, I've found some intrigue in the upcoming Provo elections. To the Booterwatch faithful, Mayor Billings held up the enforcement of new booting laws that would have been more favorable to the person recieving the boot, most importantly taking away our right to sue the booting companies for a bad boot. On that fact alone I say we throw Lewis Billings out, but it turns out there is so much more reason to get rid of him. While reading this article in the Deseret News I found this website. While saveprovo.com has decidedly taken side against the incumbent, it was interesting to see what some of the "permenant" population has to say about the administration of the city we all (or most of us) live in.

Billings opponents

I can't say that I get too involoved in politics either, but I do know Dave Bailey, the opponent of Mayor Billings. He will acually make an appearance at the party this Saturday sponsored by SomethingLocal.com. The fact that he would even support such an event wins my vote already.

Billings sucks.
