Provo Fireworks

Hey everyone, I just have a quick question. The 4th of July is coming and I was just wondering where is the best place to watch the fireworks. I've heard there will be many fireworks at the Stadium of Fire.

Would it be a good idea to hike up into Y mountian or better to sit outside the stadium to watch. Yeah, I am too poor to actually get into the stadium. =(

Are there any other great sites where we might go? Thanks very much, happy 4th.

Wife and I drove up to the Y

Wife and I drove up to the Y one year to watch the SoF. It took us nearly an hour to drive back to Branbury.

If you go, ride a bike. Or plan to stay long after the show is over.

If I could do it over again, I'd probably hike up to Squaw Peak. That would make for a cool show, looking down on fireworks. If you don't mind hiking in the dark.

From the Y

I liked watching the fireworks on the Y, however, don't expect the loud powerful blasts you would get from being close up. From the distance of the Y you will only hear pops. That was the only thing that disappointmented me when I went up.

I would still recommended it, since it is very cool to be up high and see fireworks almost below you.

Farker might be on to something with his Squaw Peak idea. It seems like Squaw Peak would be closer, higher and less crowded.

Rock Canyon Park

It seems like Rock Canyon Park would probably be pretty decent too no? Back behind the temple on the hill.

Park City

Oh sad, i know the 4th is already over, but next year go to park city, they have a firework show that rocks any other, plus its free!
